NEWTOWN, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Mae Kirkpatrick, 89, for many years a music teacher in the Richland Township area, died Friday evening (Jan. 24, 1975) at the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born in Dearborn County, Ohio, on Dec. 28, 1885, to Edward and Rebecca Gerard Stokes. She was married Dec. 14, 1903, at Newtown to Edward Kirkpatrick, who died in 1960. The Kirkpatricks farmed in the Newtown area until 1940. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a graduate of Cayuga High School and was a member of the United Methodist Church and Wingate Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of which she was a past worthy matron. Survivors include a son, Edward C. Kirkpatrick of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. James (Dema) McKinney of Carmel, Ind., and six grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Burkhart Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with the Rev. Dick Baker officiating. Burial will be at Meharry Cemetery east of Newtown. - jlr
